SHOE FOR THE MEDICAL WORLD, PROTOTYPE, 2010
This shoe is made of EPDM-PP, that can be sterilized under high pressure and temperature. The structure of the material symbolizes clay, earth, ... kneaded around the feet. This image is controversial with the sterile and clean demands of the medical sector.
In the shoe there is a message carved:
in the left shoe: "Head in the sky"
(left symbolizes the feminine, the spiritual, ...)
in the right shoe: "Feet on the ground"
(right symbolizes the masculine, the rational, ...)
The point is, for the user, to find the right balance between body and soul.
With these shoes I want to express the idea of "earthen". We have to keep in touch with the earth by balancing body and soul.
